Description:

Position Summary:
Responsible for proactively managing all aspects of reconstruction jobs to include: managing project and work volume performance to the highest level of quality, efficiency, effectiveness in customer satisfaction, safety, and profitability. These losses may range in size from small to large and be residential or commercial.

Duties:

General Duties:
o Proactively anticipate and respond with a maximum sense of urgency
o Assume 100% responsibility for the successful outcome of the job (e.g. establish a plan, communicate expectations clearly, ask questions, gain commitments, document, escalate whenever necessary)
o Document everything and update paperwork daily
o Always know the status of the job
o Manage to Woodard’s standards for legendary service
o Manage to the unique requirements of each client within industry standards
o Make decisions in the best interest of the company - know when to walk away/know when to seek counsel or escalate

Qualifications:

Ideal Education/Experience
o Considerable experience in all levels of construction management, with the highest emphasis placed on candidates with substantial residential construction management experience
o Bachelors Degree with emphasis in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
o 5 to 7 years of industry project management or related professional experience
o Expertise in basic engineering and construction principles
o Background in reconstruction, general construction, design-build and project management acumen is preferred.

Availability:
o Available for 24/7 on-call and 1st response per the published on-call schedule.
o Responsible for identifying a substitute for on-call or 1st response when necessary.
o Available to back-up on-call and 1st response when needed & possible.
o Responsible for keeping the office informed of availability (includes off hours whenever possible).
o Responsible for keeping outlook calendar updated on a daily basis.
o Responsible for keeping customer service informed of availability.
o In the event the PM needs to be removed from assignment rotation, the PM is responsible for “advance” notification so that it can be planned into the schedule.
