Electronic Assembler - Production

Description:

Under general supervision, the Electronic Assembler will perform a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly functions.

Currently seeking both 1st and 2nd shift candidates. Shift flexibility is a plus.

Duties:

NOTE Employees may perform any or all of the tasks described below:
1. Prepares components for assembly. Trims component leads, bends component leads, assembles heat sink and voltage regulator subassemblies and other component prep operations.
2. Manually inserts components into printed circuit boards.
3. Performs simple hand soldering operations and inspects solder joints created manually and by wave soldering machine.
4. Performs final assembly of products.
5. Compiles materials for Kit builds as required.
6. Performs final test of products.
7. Packages products as per instructions in shipping/storage containers.
8. Works from prints, drawings, samples and written procedures.
9. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
10. Performs all work in a manner that provides for the safety and health of self and other manufacturing personnel.
11. Meets work quotas while conforming to DMP quality standards.

Qualifications:

*High school education or equivalent.

*Excellent eye / hand coordination.

*Ability to handle small components with ease and perform neat work.

*Ability to read/follow detailed written/oral instructions.

*Possess sufficient physical strength to safely handle large test fixtures up to 50 lbs. as well as be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

*Prior electronic assembly / soldering experience a plus.

*Proven excellent attendance.

*Ability to work first shift - either 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 7:30 a.m. - 4:00pm as assigned and overtime as required.
