Duties: |
Designs, writes, maintains, tests, & debugs code that is modular & easy to understand
Learns & maintains existing embedded software products & code
Uses emulators & other tools for software development
Participate in formal code inspection process with other product lines
Works with colleagues to clarify details, design test plans; document in specifications
Problem-solving & working with team or individuals to meet the needs of the project
Meets deadlines while conforming to DMP quality standards
Occasionally is able to follow a work schedule that is outside of normal work hours
Observe corporate policies. Contributes to the team by performing other duties as assigned
Seeks to improve efficiencies while maintains conformance to existing requirements
Seek first to understand, then to be understood
Take care of the customer, fast!

Qualifications: |
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related, or equivalent experience
Microprocessor software design and troubleshooting experience
Design experience with embedded C
Experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet, data networks & cellular networks
Telecommunication/telephony experience a plus
Minimum of two years design experience
Excellent technical math and engineering skills and problem-solving ability
Detailed and accurate
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to set and achieve date commitments
Ability to keep information in confidence
Demonstrate punctuality, good work attitude, good attendance & cooperation with others
